Reid Crawford

Reid Crawford has distinguished himself in service to the nonprofit community for more than 26 years. He has more than 16 years of success in development, advancement, and external affairs, on campus and as an independent consultant.
Since 1999, Mr. Crawford has provided fundraising guidance and assistance to nonprofit organizations including educational, cultural, and health organizations. Prior to that time, he was vice president for university advancement for the University of Maryland, where he led the university’s advancement efforts in the areas of development, marketing, alumni programs, university relations, publications, and special events. Mr. Crawford implemented the university’s first organized, comprehensive campaign generating more than $350 million for capital, endowment and scholarship priorities.
Before coming to Maryland, Mr. Crawford worked in various capacities for Iowa State University. In 1973, Mr. Crawford was elected to the 100-member Iowa House of Representatives where he represented a district of 28,000 constituents until 1991. During that time, he chaired a major standing committee.
Mr. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from Iowa State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School.
